Genre: Urban Arts Signature Print

Our vision for this print is minimalistic to focus on the art and writing by our contributors. All works should meditate on existence in urbanity. Our goal is to capture the experiences of the city and the diverse perspectives, socioeconomics, languages, colors, religions…to capture all of who urbanity encapsulates.

Femme Literati: Mixtape

Femme is a space for women of the African Diasporic writers and artist to be exactly who they are without the limitations society would love to place on us. Be as colorful, as loud, as happy, as hurt, as bold as you want. Phenomenally.

House

House is our Queer People of Color (POC) anthology. Our goal with this print is to take a safe space for black and brown queer creatives.

Prose + Script

Prose + Script is our anthology of prose pieces and scripts written by writers of color and other marginalized groups. The goal of this publication is to give further voice to groups that have historically not been fully recognized in creative spaces and to serve as a platform for those voices to roar.

BLACKOUT

Black artists and writers submit to our open call for art + writing from and centered upon the Black experience. This anthology is a collaboration between Genre: Urban Arts and 5 Points Art Gallery + Studios, both Black women owned organizations coming together in friendship, sisterhood, and business to curate and drop an arts anthology entitled BLACKOUT.

We are also developing other opportunities for our contributors. To review opps check us out by clicking the button below.
