A Muddled Mind.

My mind is indefinable, like
the wind spoke about the sea.
Shadowed thoughts twitch to a smile,
laughing, as the knife goes in so deep.

A sort of death, that doesn’t yet
comprehend the cryptic reference,
as the wordless hints disintegrate,
like they’re dipped in potent acid.

The sun sinks below my view indifferently,
like a toothache, angry and amusing itself,
trying to face disappointment that’s
privy to secrets hidden on a shelf.
